At one of the worship services, I met Martha, an incredible and intelligent young Maasai woman from Monduli, which is near the city of Arusha. She became a good friend of mine, showing me how to do the needlepoint she busies herself with in spare time and even teaching me how to REALLY wash clothes by hand, including tennis shoes! This is a picture of us Sunday morning when I received my scrubbing lesson.
