Where in the world is Kate Westby???

A very overdue Mambo to you all as my travel time has come to a close, and access to the Internet is finally somewhat available. The network is still a bit loopy at times, and my blog seems to be set on not wanting to ever load. However, this morning lo and behold it works! As such, warmest wishes (literally) from sunny Dar es Salaam! :)

It was a rude awakening to arrive back to humid 90s after two weeks in Arusha followed by a week on the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro, which were both much-needed cool weather breaks from the heat. And I don't know what you think, but it may be in my best interest to hire dear sister as my own international correspondent; she doesn't know it yet, but turn her Jedi training in video work to the wonderfully dark side of journalism sooner or later (preferably later... I still need a job until May...). May the force be with Jerry Johnson, our Luther College Public Information Office Jedi master.

So please sit back and relax as I get you up to speed on the events of the last couple weeks!

*The picture is again of me teaching at Mlimani Primary School back in August before temporarily disappearing. Those kids are gems!
